Sky News political contributor Chris Uhlmann discusses the public opinion of Israel across the Western world.
“It is certainly losing the war of public opinion around the Western world, and this was precisely the outcome that Hamas wanted,” Mr Uhlmann told Sky News Australia.
“Hamas knew when it attacked Israel, it could never win a fight; what it hoped for is that Israel would disenfranchise itself with the rest of the world, and you’ve got to say it has been remarkably successful.
“If the state of Israel essentially loses its standing in the world, then [Hamas] has won.”
