For the second time in just two days, Venezuelan fighter jets flew dangerously close to the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Jason Dunham in international waters of the Caribbean. This new incident comes right after Washington deployed F-35 stealth fighters to Puerto Rico, sending a powerful signal to Caracas.
Tensions in the Caribbean are rising, and this confrontation is about much more than one flyover. It’s about power, deterrence, and who controls the skies and seas of the region.
