On this episode I continue with the ongoing restoration of this 1979 Kenworth W900A truck to turn it into a tribute movie truck to the one used in the 1977 classic movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. If you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for “You know truckin’ Coors beer east of Texas is booleggin’”

To kick things off I finally dug out the old/new W900A hood I purchased last year that has the proper air cleaner snorkel cutouts to match the movie truck. Then I figured out how to remove the existing hood off the truck without a forklift … I thought it was pretty clever. Then I started reworking the old grill with the new stainless steel parts I purchased from the Big Rig Chrome Shop however I soon discovered that something wasn’t quite right. Then as I wait for new parts to arrive to correct, I started working on the existing fuel tanks prepping them for polish.
