The sun goes down, I climb that hill alone
Cool scent of the night, it chills me to the bone
Trees standing tall, like soldiers in a line
I'm making new promises, with this heart of mine
Findin' my strength, findin' my soul once again...

One hundred and thirty steps, Lord, it's a long way
Feeling so bright, washin' the ghosts of the day
I lean on the edge, where the stars begin to bloom
High on the summit, far away from the gloom
Looking down, looking down on the evening light...

The city lights, they’re shining like a holy feast
In the middle of the fire, my soul is released!
Among those lights, I see my joy and my dream
One light whispers loud, "Your hope is a golden beam!"
Oh, it’s a bright light, tellin' me where I stand!

Yes! My Joy! (I'm gonna make it myself!)
My Hope! (I'm gonna build it with my hands!)
Like the stars in the sky, like the lights in the street
I'm walkin' with the fire, I won't admit defeat!
Hope is with me! Joy is with me! Yeah!

Just a few hours, like a movie it flows
In the pouring rain, my spirit grows
