Gina’s diagnosis of vascular dementia has opened the door to getting support. Despite the initial shock, she is relieved to have an answer to how she was feeling.
Since the diagnosis, Gina has found dementia support as well as comfort in local groups. She now sings in a memory choir which has given her ‘so much joy’ and great friends.
Gina believes you have a right to know what is happening if you are having memory problems. She says, ‘you know your body better than anybody’
