✅ U.S. Citizen
✅ At least 30 years old
✅ Lived in Texas for 5 years before the election

I believe Texas residency rules for our highest office are far too lax. If it takes being natural born to be President, why not require the same for Governor? At the very least, a 20-year residency should be the standard.
Our state’s future shouldn’t be left to political short-timers or opportunistic transplants. Let’s push our representatives to strengthen these requirements—before Texas ends up with leadership that doesn’t truly have a Texas State of Mind.
