Here we have a very well known Level Crossing , Kings Dyke Level Crossing. It’s time protecting vehicles and pedestrians from the passenger and freight trains has now come to an end. This crossing is now in the same state Ely Level Crossing is in, except there are no bags over the wigwags. There is still a signaller working in this box to I assume control Funthams Lane Level Crossing and to set the signals over both this crossing and Funthams Lane Crossing.

The crossing has been closed for about Three or Four weeks now and I assume has been down ever since. The road has been fenced off at the beginning of this road but there is still access on a footpath to enter the road. Kings Dyke Crossing has served its purpose and it’s now time for it to rest…
