Louisa Batista is celebrating 50 years in the NHS.
After moving to the UK from Portugal when she was 18, Louisa initially began working on the wards as a housekeeper at St Thomas' Hospital in London.
Hearing that a job in the catering team was available, Louisa asked to transfer, and she has not looked back since.
The 68-year-old chef prepares about 70 meals every day for patients with special dietary requirements.
Despite working throughout the pandemic, Louisa says she has no plans to retire yet.
