This is a track called Preta Pretinha by Novos Baianos, found in their 1972 album Acabou Chorare (which was selected by Rolling Stone magazine as the best Brazilian album of all time). The album and the track itself are both hard to translate because of their highly creative use of language.
Here, the word "saudade" was left untranslated because I felt it fitted the lyrics better. Saudade is a feeling of deep nostalgia and permeates all art in the Portuguese language.
