In this video, we will take you to the heart of an Iranian village, where life still flows with old traditions and local handicrafts.
🔸 First of all, fresh sheep's milk is milked; a full-fat, natural milk that is the main basis of all traditional dairy products.
🔸 After boiling and cooling the milk, homemade yogurt is made by fermenting it; a thick, fragrant, and delicious yogurt.
🔸 Then, part of this yogurt is stirred to separate the yellow, natural butter and obtain local doogh; a cool and popular drink on hot summer days.
🔸 Next, the remaining doogh is boiled and dried to make traditional keshk; one of the popular condiments of Iranian dishes such as ash and kalehjoosh.
This simple but laborious process demonstrates the art and skill of rural men and women who obtain the best and healthiest foods from nature.
