Mecca Pact

Описание: Syria wants to join the Mecca Alliance. That would put Damascus in the same defence bloc as Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and nuclear-armed Pakistan. In this map documentary we trace how a 2025 Saudi–Pakistan deal grew into a three-nation "attack on one is an attack on all" pact, why it was used against the Houthis, and what adding Syria would mean for Israel, Iran and India.

On 4 November 2026, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, his second visit in under a month. They signed a defence cooperation agreement whose terms weren't made public, along with more than $403 million in Saudi loans for hospitals, housing, civil defence, the Aleppo power plant and water systems in Damascus and Idlib. Days earlier, at the Manama Dialogue, Syria's foreign minister Asaad al-Shaibani said talks on joining the Saudi–Türkiye–Pakistan pact were "under way."

🇮🇳 WHY INDIA SHOULD WATCH
Saudi Arabia is one of India's largest oil suppliers and home to millions of Indian workers. Türkiye openly backed Pakistan during the May 2025 crisis. A pact that links Pakistan's military with Gulf money and Türkiye's defence industry, and could reach into the Levant, changes the strategic picture on India's western flank. In the video we look at what is actually in the agreements, what isn't, and how New Delhi's own ties with Riyadh, the UAE, Israel and Greece balance it.
