Over 3000 members of the Ntulele adjudication section in Narok took to the streets over the weekend to protest a Court verdict to subdivide their 56,000 acre land to 2,222 members.
During the demos held at Ntulele Trading center, they complained that the three-judge ruling has triggered the 1980 old wounds between the Purko, ildamat and Keekonyokie clans who shed blood over the same land before it moved to court.
Clad with Shukas, waving placards, and Rungus while chanting anti-court slogans, the people composed of the three clans argue that if the court ruling is followed, over 5000 who already occupy different parcels of land within the adjudication section would become landless.
Led by Mosiro ward MCA Maika Olorgeso, Salankat Nchoe (Former MCA), Metian Nkoiboni, Kazaroho Torome and Mzee Salau Kilusu said they respect the court verdict but they disagree in totality as it will bring back the inter-clan hostilities as witnessed in the past where several people were killed and they are Calling the head of state William Ruto to intervene before it become worse.
