This is my heartfelt rendition of the evergreen Bollywood classic O Saathi Re from the film Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1978). The male version was sung by the legendary Kishore Kumar, with music composed by the iconic duo Kalyanji–Anandji and lyrics penned by Anand Bakshi.
In this cover, I reimagine the song using the Yamaha PSR-SX900, blending multiple voices — Guitar, Organ, Strings, Piano, Choir, and Saxophone — and switching between them live to create a rich, evolving soundscape. The rhythm is powered by a custom beat and filler I designed, giving the track a unique groove.
I remain faithful to the original raga while adding my own piano improvisations and flourishes, making this rendition both traditional and fresh. The improvisations allow me to explore the emotional depth of the song while keeping its soul intact.
This performance is not just a cover — it’s my personal tribute to the beauty of O Saathi Re, a song that has touched millions of hearts for decades. By combining tradition with creativity, I hope to bring out new colors in this evergreen melody.
