Quick shoot out between 2 AWESOME high gain amps. OLD vs NEW!
Yes there is a very noticeable difference between these 2 amps when you compare them... despite 1 video I have seen claiming they are exactly the SAME. In that video, it was intentionally held back and suppressed to sound like the OLD 5150 (Which is the same as the 6505 with a different badge after Eddie left Peavey). When you DON'T hold back the Iconic and actually dial in what it is capable of... it is quite unique compared to the old skool Peavey's. That is my take for what it's worth...
