Authentic Khmer food made with ground pork mixed with aromatics from the lemongrass paste, the tartness from the wood apple and the fragrant from holy basil. All wrapped up inside a banana leaves and roasted. It is so DELICIOUS! One of my favorite Khmer food. I love to eat this with assorted fresh and cook vegetables.
Ingredients used:
1 pound ground pork
1 head garlic
3 tablespoons fermented fish paste (prohok)
1-8oz package wood apple paste
1 cup lemongrass paste (http://www.khatiya-korner.com)
1 ½ tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon seasoning powder
2 tablespoons tamarind powder
2 tablespoons fish sauce
3 packages seafood mushroom
holy basil
chilies
banana leaves and toothpick for wrapping
