There's so much to say about this free sparring that it's hard to even begin, and whatever is said will never be enough. We won't be going into a great many deal of details but let's say that these two were sparring for close to 2hours non-stop. Last year it was only 15mins but it was, as the movie goes, "the beginning of a beautiful friendship". This year was a "test" of what Rui had learned this past year, diligently training (only 2h per week because that's what he had the time to) and putting a lot of effort into his practice.
Because it's such a lengthy video, David and Rui selected this short exchange, but hopefully there will be shorts to come as no one has the endurance to see it all.
As 2024 comes to an end, we can only dream of what 2025 will have in stored.
