‼️The Variety reported on Tuesday that the months-long contract negotiations between Disney/ESPN and Stephen A. Smith are close to being done. Andrew Marchand of The Athletic says the two sides are negotiating a six-year $120 million package with potential access to other parts of the Disney business. Smith started his television career in 1999 at the now-defunct cable network CNN/SI and would eventually join ESPN in August 2005 and would host a daily hour-long show called Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith which would be canceled in 2007. Smith graduated from Winston-Salem State University(an HBCU) in 1991 with a B.A. in sports journalism‼️
