Se procuram calma e sossego as ilhas são o local perfeito.
a Praia da Ilha do Farol está situada… na Ilha da Culatra, e pertence ao concelho de Faro. E o nome advém de aqui estar o farol do Cabo de Santa Maria, que foi edificado em 1851, e tem uma torre com 50 metros de altura. Fora da pandemia é possível visitar o farol e subir a escadaria (são mais de 200 degraus!)
As ilhas do Algarve (Armona, Culatra (Farol e Hangares), Tavira, Cabanas e Barreta) formam a barreira arenosa entre o mar e a ria, fazendo parte integrante do Parque Natural da Ria Formosa.

The islands of Ria Formosa, in the Algarve, are a piece of paradise. I've been to Ilha do Farol in summer and winter and the environment couldn't be more different. In warm weather, vacationers fill the beaches and houses – which are mostly for rent, because few people live here full time; Culatra has many more permanent residents – and in winter few people decide to spend a few days here… but even then, autumn/winter, I can tell you that it is worth being there. If you are looking for peace and quiet, the islands are the perfect place.
Praia da Ilha do Farol is located… in Ilha da Culatra, and belongs to the municipality of Faro. And the name comes from the lighthouse of Cabo de Santa Maria, which was built in 1851, and has a tower 50 meters high. Outside the pandemic, it is possible to visit the lighthouse and climb the steps (there are more than 200 steps!)
The islands of the Algarve (Armona, Culatra (Farol and Hangares), Tavira, Cabanas and Barreta) form the sandy barrier between the sea and the estuary, forming an integral part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park
