Today we’re tearing into the Reyco torsion arm suspension to remove one of the worn bushings. This is the same Reyco setup we’ve talked about before — the heavy-duty 201/200-series style suspension that uses torsion arms and rubber bushings to isolate vibration and keep trailers running straight.
These bushings are known for being fun to remove (and by “fun,” I mean stubborn). One of the bolts on the back bushing was so messed up it wouldn’t back out at all — so we had to cut it off just to free the torsion arm. Thankfully, the new kit we ordered comes with replacement hardware, because that bolt was DONE.
In this video we break down:
How to access the torsion arm bushing
Cutting off seized suspension bolts
Techniques for pressing/pulling the old bushing out
What a worn Reyco bushing looks like
Why these bushings cause slop, noise, and alignment issues
After that, we tried to burn the brush piles in the back… emphasis on tried. Let’s just say the fire wasn’t interested in cooperating, and we didn’t get much done except smelling like smoke for no reason. 😅🔥
More work coming in part 2 when we actually install the new bushings.
👉 Stick around for real farm repair, suspension headaches, and a little unplanned comedy.
