STORYLINE:
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a suburb in Sidon, South Lebanon, on Sunday marking the third attack on the area in the past two weeks.

The strike, which targeted an apartment in Haret Sidon, also injured nine others, the ministry and Lebanon’s news agency said.

The intended target remains unclear, and no evacuation warning was issued by the Israeli military before the strike.

"This is a residential area that has no connection to the war or to missiles or to anything. They’re targeting innocent people, women and children, people that have nothing to do with any of this,” local resident Mohammed Kwara said on Sunday.

In Ghazieh, south of Sidon, an Israeli strike on Sunday also targeted a building. Although there is no official information on casualties yet, local media reported that rescuers pulled a young girl from the rubble.

An ambulance was seen in front of the destroyed building.
