कलकी पीठ के पीठाधीश्वर प्रमोद कृष्णम ने लाउडस्पीकर को लेकर एक विवादित बयान दिया। प्रमोद कृष्णम ने कहा कि जिन्हें इस्लाम की जानकारी नहीं वो बात ना करें और क्या अल्लाह मियां बहरे हैं जो लाउडस्पीकर की जरूरत पड़ेगी। कृष्णम का यह कहना है कि इस्लाम और रमजान इबादत और नियत से चलते हैं। उनके इस बयान पर समाजवादी पार्टी ने भी सख्त ऐतराज जताया। हिंदू त्यौहारों में डीजे से इसकी तुलना कर दी है।
