Assalam o Alaikum everyone!
Aaj hum bana rahe hain bohat hi mazedar, spicy aur crispy Masala Fried Fish. Bahar se crispy, andar se soft aur juicy — yeh recipe zaroor try karein!
🐟 Ingredients:
1 kg fish (cut into slices)
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon crushed red chili flakes
1 tablespoon crushed coriander seeds
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala
Juice of 2 lemons
½ cup gram flour (besan)
Oil for deep frying
👩🍳 Method:
Step 1: Prepare the Fish
Wash the fish thoroughly and pat it completely dry using a kitchen towel. There should be no excess water on the fish.
Step 2: Make the Masala Paste
In a bowl, add Garlic paste, red chili powder, crushed red chili flakes, crushed coriander, salt, turmeric, black pepper, cumin powder, chaat masala, and lemon juice.
Mix everything well to form a thick spice paste.
👉 Do not add gram flour at this stage.
Step 3: Marinate the Fish
Coat each fish piece generously with the prepared masala paste.
Cover and let it marinate for 3 hours.
The longer it marinates, the better the flavor.
Step 4: Add Gram Flour Coating
Make a thick slurry of gram flour by adding a little water.
Add this gram flour mixture to the marinated fish and mix gently so each piece gets a light coating.
Step 5: Fry the Fish
Heat oil in a deep pan or wok on medium to slightly high heat.
Carefully place the fish pieces into the hot oil and fry for about 8–10 minutes, turning if needed, until:
✔ The outside is crispy
✔ The color turns golden reddish
Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
🍽 Serving Suggestion:
Serve hot with tamarind chutney and fresh salad on the side.
