how to practice a traveling 3/4 shimmy up 🙌💯

Описание: learn how to do a 3/4 shimmy on the up (fyi there is also a 3/4 shimmy on the down 👀) in this quick belly dance technique tutorial. i break everything down step by step, starting with the base movement technique, demonstrating how they work together, and then teaching how to travel with this shimmy.

step 1: practice your piston hips by pulling the hips up and in through straightening your bent knee and engaging the oblique muscles
step 2: practice your hip bumps by pushing the hips out to the side and feeling the weight transfer to each leg
step 3: combine your piston hips and hip bumps by transfering your weight with a hip bump then doing piston hips (lift + drop) with the free leg
step 4: speed it up and add the 1, 2, 3 rhythm
step 5 walk with it by lifting the foot and the hip of the free leg together after the weight transfer of the hip bump. then dropping the hip and placing the foot on the ground. that creates a step for walking!
