Driving Around Bement, IL While Tornado Sirens Go Off

For this first Tuesday of the month, me and a couple of people went to Bement, Illinois for their tornado siren test. I got the insane idea to drive around town while they were all sounding off in unison… this is the result. I managed to drive by all 3 in town going off. Looking back, the doppler effect in person is absolutely wild and I feel this video really captured how freaky it was. Thanks to ‪@vcvcf1896‬ for holding the phone for me, I really appreciate it!

Bement, IL has a 4/5 port Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T, a Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003 that was refurbished and put up last year, and a Whelen Vortex R4. These sirens are tested by Piatt County 911 on the first Tuesday of the month at 10 AM, weather permitting.
