Animal Welfare vs Animal Rights | Lecture on Veganism | Humane Meat, Dairy & Eggs

Описание: In this video I explain the meaning of the word animal welfare and how it differs from animal rights. Animal welfare teaches humans that we can exploit, use and harm animals in ways that we find to be not cruel to them. So once again we are forcing our extrinsic value of animals onto them.
But we are making a gross error here, when violence occurs we need to observe it from the victims point of view. If we were in the victims shoes we would not be worried about the method in which we are about to be killed or be exploited. Our only desire is to not be harmed at all!
Animal welfare is counter productive to the progress of animal rights as we are trying to ease the human conscience and justify various methods of harming animals.
The only consistent and logical thing we can do to make a difference for animals is by being Vegan.
