In this second short video of the series, I've compiled the best wildlife footage from my land in nature from the past few weeks. Here I set two camera traps relatively close to each other, but on different trails.
I was elated to get footage of a Malayan tapir, which is the first time I've been able to record it. Aside from that I managed to get my best ever video footage of a barking deer, which was cooperative enough to pose in front of the camera for several seconds.
Unfortunately I didn't get further footage of leopard cat or mouse deer. The only small carnivore I detected this time round was a Malay civet, although the video wasn't so clear so I didn't post it here.
An exciting development is that I managed to set an additional camera trap facing a fruiting fig tree which I recently found. The figs weren't ripe yet, so it might take a bit of time to get some nice footage. Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing what animals come to visit!
