Theme: The Present / True End

Interpretation

Maou’s forty five day journey is coming to a close, and she’s still unsure what she wants to do with this world. It’s a dirty and ugly world, but no matter where she looks there’s always that one spark of kindness that gave her hope for its future. If such happiness exists, could the world really be that bad? As she agonizes over what to do, an unfamiliar face appears to cut her journey short. The group’s numbers dwindle, but despite this Maou must find the strength to stand up and protect the people she has come to love.

The song Re:Call is about losing hope and being engulfed in darkness, and taking time to rediscover and reobtain the light that you’ve lost. If your important people are beside you, and if their voices are still there to cheer you on, then you can do anything.

The present is where Maou’s decision must be made. Just what will she do with this world that she has chosen to take upon herself?
