Описание: Lovely ruins of a castle standing on the cliff face between Oban and Ganavan Sands Beach. There is a nice, small garden below it. The castle has been standing on the hill since the 5th century and in the 12th century became a property of the MacDougalls clan and was extended by them over the years. The castle changed hands a few times over centuries, but it was always coming back to MacDougalls. Currently, the castle is protected by The MacDougall of Dunollie Preservation Trust and is available to the public.
