Dr Sabrya Carim is a trained scientist, with a PhD in Cell Biology. Sabrya has worked in lab-based research for 10 years across two continents, before transitioning into science publishing. She is now a science editor working at Nature Cell Biology, a high-profile journal that publishes scientific research. Sabrya is part of a minority of women from an underrepresented ethnic group working in science. She is passionate about science and communication and advocates for women and girls in science. Sabrya is on a mission to increase the representation of diverse women in science and STEM roles.
