In this video, I’m sharing my restaurant-style Smokey Lobster Butter Masala — rich, buttery, and deeply flavorful.
Perfectly cooked lobster is folded into a slow-roasted tomato masala and finished with real charcoal smoke for that authentic restaurant aroma.
This recipe is made using already cooked lobster, so the key is timing, gentle handling, and a perfectly cooked masala. No watery gravy. No rubbery lobster. Just pure luxury seafood at home.

📝 INGREDIENTS
• 300 g cooked lobster claws (meat removed gently)
• 1 tsp oil
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 2 cubes butter (divided)
• 1 tbsp oil
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp ginger paste
• 1 tbsp garlic paste
• 1 green chilli, chopped
• 1 tomato, chopped
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 2–3 tbsp water
• 1 tbsp yoghurt
• Charcoal + ghee (for smoke)
• Fresh cilantro
• Ginger slices & onion slices
• Lemon wedges for serving

👩🍳 METHOD
1️⃣ Heat a pan and add 1 tsp oil, salt, turmeric, and 1 cube butter.
Add lobster meat and sauté for 1 minute only. Remove immediately and set aside.
2️⃣ In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil + 1 cube butter.
Add onion, ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chilli.
Cook on medium heat until aromatic and oil separates.
3️⃣ Add chopped tomato, cumin powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric, and salt.
Add 2–3 tbsp water and cook for 15 minutes on medium-low heat until the masala becomes thick, dark, and glossy.
4️⃣ Lower the heat and gently mix in 1 tbsp yoghurt.
5️⃣ Add lobster back into the gravy and fold carefully without breaking the meat.
6️⃣ For smokiness, place hot charcoal in a small bowl, pour ghee over it, cover the pan, and let it smoke for 1 minute.
Turn off the heat.
7️⃣ Garnish with fresh cilantro, ginger slices, and onion slices.
Serve hot with lemon 🍋

• Lobster is already cooked — never overcook it
• Always finish lobster in the gravy, not before
• Thick masala = better coating and better flavour
• Charcoal smoke is optional but highly recommended
