Little Egret filmed near Bull Island, Dublin while on the hunt for small fish and crustaceans in shallow waters. One of the egrets hunting methods is to shuffle their feet in order to disturb small fish, which it can be seen doing here. Sometimes you will also see the egret running with raised wings to similarly disturb small fish or just stand still and wait to ambush prey. Bull Island is a National Nature Reserve and is famous for the wide range of birds that visit, either to nest, winter feed, or pass through in spring and autumn.
