After a another round of root canal work, I dropped by Lake Wendouree in Ballarat for a quick sqiz at the sailing situation- Will I or not? The Ballarat Windsurfing Crew wazup group was abuzz with the hope of a nice breeze the day before so I was keen to see if anybody was out. Young David and his uni mate David were getting cold sitting there off shore St Pats Pt- Not Sailing as such. But they said it was 'Mmm- ok?"; and I figured that the injection was wearing off, the dog needed a shit, I may as well walk him, then set up a kit. Wind was up and down to me- a 5 or 6m sail? Meter reading said 20kts at one stage, so 5m sail it was on the 94ltr board with a medium weed weapon fin- big reedy weeds here, as I was going to see. Again.
The wind was off the good angle for speed runs along the reed bank. Bummer. And of course the water was deeper than me so it was a more-time-in-the-water than I liked after each run and failed jibe- ah well. Just the best bits on the vid to keep it short asap.
Yeah, two ok runs and a third crappy one, for the day. SAil not set right- and too small?
