Shout out to maf and julie cause when they had to choose which poetic death i should do, they choose the stiles one.

Since I know the storyline is a bit unclear this is what i had in mind
Derek and Stiles are rebels fighting for some cause (imagine them going against a big bad like wicked in maze runner). They have been a couple for a while but derek gets tired of seeing people getting hurt and doesn't want to watch that happen to stiles so he decides to leave. On one of the missions stiles thinks he is not going to make it so he calls derek to tell him 'i love you' one last time. He ends up surviving and derek vows to never leave him again. Unfortunately, his worst fear comes true when stiles dies in his arms. The box in the begginning is a box left from stiles to derek in case he died, and we see derek opening it in the last scene.
