Hanaa Abu Sharkh, a Palestinian woman displaced by Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza, shares her story of coping with the challenges of displacement, while reaffirming her resilience.
“Gaza has always been resilient… And we will always remain resilient, God willing.”
She added that her current situation reminded her of the stories the previous generation shared about their exile and their experiences during that time.
“Every time I do something, like to wash, make food or collect firewood, I remember what our people used to tell us and how they were exiled and how they used to live. I used to find it strange that they used to live in tents, but now I am living in a tent.”
