For many of you, this maybe the first time you're ever looking for a lawyer in your entire lives and maybe one of the most important decisions you ever made, I ask you to consider three things among those you consider when shopping for a lawyer:

Experience is critical. I’ve spent almost all of my entire career in the courtroom.

Did you know that most lawyers have never actually done a trial?

You want to ask the lawyer your interviewing, how many trials have you done?

Have you done cases like this?

How many hours have you had in the courtroom?

Cost is also critical.

How much would you pay for a lawyer?

A lot of you are probably scared, confuse and almost blind to how much it cost.

Do you want to spend ten thousand dollars for your misdemeanor DUI?

You want to spend twenty thousand dollars for drug possession case?

These fees are likely exorbitant. You should ask the lawyer what exactly they’re going to be doing. How long it’s going to take. If they promise you an outcome! BEWARE.

We are not allowed to do that, we can only promise that we are going to do are best for you.
Finally communication is key when shopping for a lawyer.

When you discuss with the lawyer your case, what kind of feeling do you get?

You feel comfortable with him or her?

If you feel uncomfortable there's a good chance that prosecutor, judge and jurors also listening to your lawyer are not going to feel comfortable that wouldn’t good for your case. So if you look around your time of need and you found experience reasonably priced and good communicative attorney, I suggest that you hired out there, if you haven't found that person yet, come sit down with me.
