My first goal was 90 degree halfway pushup.
Attempting it for the first time, after doing my first wobbly eccentrics in this position two days before, i didnt know what to expect...
The journey with this move starts a couple of months ago. Switching the planche with this goal seemed to be a really obtainable challenge. And so i was very ambitious with my expectations.This brutal move has quickly shown me its not gonna be an easy ride. Ive been using my own knowledge of training and by increasing the volume of straddle eccentrics, working on the weak points and progressing on all assistance exercises i developed a good foundation, but something was missing.
The day of testing was getting closer, and I ve just achieved almost proper straddle pushup.
After getting some advice from @s.marko and analyzing my weaknesses I started incorporating more tempo and pause work into my routine. This has continued for the last couple of weeks till that very moment.
