First Reading (Hosea 14:2-10):
The prophet Hosea addresses a moving appeal to conversion to the people. He invites Israel to return to the Lord, acknowledging their faults and seeking mercy. God, in his infinite compassion, promises to heal the people's infidelity and restore them with gratuitous love. The image of the blossoming flower, the tree that takes deep root, and the fragrance that spreads reveals the beauty of a life reconciled with God. This reading reminds us that it is never too late to start again. When we turn to the Lord with sincerity, He restores us, strengthens us, and makes our spiritual life flourish.

Gospel (Mark 12:28b-34):

In the Gospel, a scribe asks Jesus which is the greatest commandment. Jesus answers clearly: to love God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. The Lord shows that all the Law and the Prophets are summed up in love. The scribe recognizes the wisdom of the answer, and Jesus tells him that he is not far from the Kingdom of God. This dialogue teaches us that authentic faith is not limited to external rites, but is manifested in concrete love for God and our brothers and sisters.

Today's readings invite us to unite conversion and love. Returning to God means letting Him heal our hearts, and to truly love is to live the essence of the Gospel. May we renew our faithfulness to the Lord and make love the criterion for all our choices.
