Our adventure today we replace the fog light assemblies on a 2009 Lexus GX470.
The old lenses have become oxidized over the past 15 years and we are not quite ready to restore them. I received some amazon gift cards for my birthday last month. So I bought some replacement housings for a quick upgrade.
I will be testing out some headlight restoration kits in a few weeks to restore the cloudy and faded headlight assemblies along with the original fog lights but that will be in another video.
This isn't a very tough fix at all. One 10MM bolt, an electrical connection and a quick tab squeeze are all it takes to pop out the old assembly and slide in the new replacement.
Tools required for this job are a 10MM wrench or socket and a small flat blade screw driver to help remove the electrical connector without breaking the tab.
