Hello everyone!
Thank you so much for 200 subscribers!! I can't believe how fast the subs are going up (at least for my standards) which means more comments hopefully =D
I've upgraded the presentation of my videos by wearing a blazer - it makes me feel like Animenz when I play haha and also matches the classiness of the piano. I also needed one anyways since I can't just wear my old school uniform for everything...
Recently, I watched Horimiya and it's become one of my favourite rom-coms (still behind My Dress-Up Darling, though) since I can relate to Miyamura's situation when I was in primary school. But now, I have an amazing group of friends who have made my high school experience very enjoyable and I hope to keep in touch with them for as long as possible =D I wouldn't be where I am today without them.
One thing I didn't like about the show, though, was Hori's kink shame fetish since that felt out of place and came out of nowhere - maybe it makes sense in the manga? I'll have to read it someday but it's so darn expensive in Australia
Anyways, I finally got around to playing some of Horimiya's OSTs! Initially, I didn't find it anything special since none of the tracks stuck out. However, the later episodes had some really great tracks, such as this one. I also liked "Route Sentimental" and want to cover that as well since it's a nice and simple piece. Compared to the tracks in My Dress-Up Darling, this one's a bit more serious and less playful but I still like the slow-moving nature of the tracks.
Uni has just started again so I didn't have as much time to practice which is why I'm using the sheet music as I still wanted to upload something. Might as well treat this as a sight-reading exercise lol.
I quite like this arrangement by Hayashi since it follows the original closely while adding his own style, especially towards the end at 1:38 - that's my favourite part! It's a nice and simple piece that I like playing sometimes and the opening chords are also very interesting. Initially, I was just casually sight reading this piece but decided to record it when I heard how nice the left hand accompaniment was.
I've also made an arrangement for the ED and want to play the OP as well but that'll take some time since they're a bit more challenging. The next upload should be Kigeki =)
Fun fact: I record most of my videos between 12:00AM - 1:00AM lmao, I'm sure the neighbours love it cos who sleeps at 12AM anyways? :p
See you later!
P.S. Toru is the MVP
