FIAT 500e Key Programming Using ZN085 and AVDI

I am happy to share with you a true innovation - FIAT 500e key programming software! Using your AVDI and the new software license FN024, you can program keys for this car in a few minutes!

I got my hands on a FIAT 500e and the new license, so I wanted to share my experience with you. To start, you need AVDI, the ABRITES RH850/V850 Programmer, CB012 cable, PROTAG and the FN024 license (active AMS is a must, too). It is important to know that first you need to read the BCM data. To do that, I used the ABRITES RH850/V850 Programmer which I connected to the BCM and simply read the data. You also need to save the dump file, as always.

It is important to know how to connect the CB012 cable for direct CAN connection. For that, remove the gear module, placed underneath the multimedia panel. Then, find the CAN High and CAN Low wires, and gently pierce through with the CB012 needles. You will see how to connect in the video.

The key learning procedure is fairly simple and done in a minute! As you can see in the video, the software guides you every step of the way. Put away any available keys before you begin programming the new one. After that, start the ABRITES Diagnostics for FCA vehicles, go to Key Learning menu and choose the Prepare Key Fob option. Prepare the new key by putting it in the PROTAG Programmer for a few moments. After that, the key is ready to be enabled (or programmed). To do that, place the new key in the emergency slot of the car (in this case it is situated between the front seats) and proceed to follow the steps in the software.

And there you go - you got yourself a brand new key for the FIAT 500e! The software works for Atmel-type keys, original and third-party. As far as I know, there will be an ABRITES key available for purchase very soon.
