Burnt feat. Gil, Migs and Rog - Believe It

The track’s rhythm foundation demonstrates the deep musicianship of Gil Sharon (drums), Michael “Miguel” Happoldt (guitars, production), and Roger Rivas (organ, keyboards), and characteristic heady lyrics, crunchy vocals, hip hop infusion, and tasty horn melodies of BURNT.

“Believe It” is the 3rd single released by Gil, Migs and Rog as part of their “vocal versions” series of songs, featuring guest vocalists on tracks from their 2020 release, the dub masterpiece “Riddem Business”. “Believe It” also marks the first release from BURNT since the January 1, 2021 roll-out of their 9th full length album “Reaching for the Sun”.

When asked about the experience of collaborating with GMR, BURNT front-man Danny Franco had this to say: “I was definitely honored to have been invited by Miguel to take a crack at writing to a track from the Gil, Migs and Rog album ‘Riddim Business’. I ended writing to a few different tunes and this one, which is “Minor Lee '' on the Riddim Business album, just came out the best. I sent some scratch vocals to Miguel and he encouraged me to keep developing the idea, so I did a proper vocal take and sent on to Jamal and Nolan for horns, and to KB (Karmic Basis) for a verse. We’ve included Miguel on a few collaboration tracks with Burnt, but this is our first time working with Gil Sharone and Roger Rivas, both of whom are insanely talented. Roger’s mix sounds so dope. We’re just grateful for the whole experience.”
