In this video, we are turning pen blanks made from Red Malle Burl with Fordite pieces in Alumilite Resin to make a diamond painting pen.

Fordite, also know as Motor Agate, is automotive enamel paint formed from the old practice of hand-spraying cars on the production line. The overspray created layers of paint buildup, creating the gorgeous colors and patterns seen here. Part of what makes it so unique and highly prized is that the automotive industry no longer uses that method of painting cars, so there is a limited amount that has been produced.
