virtual Royal Air Force is the only VATSIM Approved military outfit for the Royal Air Force operating on the VATSIM Network. The aims of the organisation is to provide a place where pilots can get together and perform Military Operations on the VATSIM Network using the UK Division as a base.
Noble Ocean 09 is a joint exercise involving many other virtual Air Forces such as the virtual United States Navy (vUSN). It is taking place in Northern Scotland and you can see in the video the callsigns coming from aircraft carriers at sea.
Currently vRAF have it's Harrier, Eurofighter, Hercules, Merlin, Chinook and AAR assets deployed to Noble Ocean on board HMS Ark Royal or deployed to land bases in Scotland.
