Rescue operations at a flooded coal mine in Assam's Dima Hasao district entered its 7th day on Sunday, with four out of nine trapped workers' bodies recovered. Three workers' bodies were pulled out on Saturday, identified as Ligen Magar (27), Khushi Mohan Rai (57), and Sarat Goyary (37). The first body was found on January 8. The workers had been trapped since January 6, after a sudden flood hit the mine. Dewatering efforts have lowered the water level from 26 to 12 meters, allowing divers from the army, navy, and NDRF to continue their search.
