Autism Ashram and meaningful engagement:
Living in Autism Ashram is very meaningful for young adults.
Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects communication and social interaction. People with autism may have difficulty engaging in activities that are meaningful to them or others due to their difficulty with social communication and understanding social cues.
However, everyone with autism is different, and some people with autism may be able to engage in activities that are meaningful to them or others despite these challenges.
It is important for caregivers and loved ones to work with individuals with autism to find activities that are meaningful and enjoyable for them.
@AutismAshram We involve in finding ways to adapt activities to better meet the individual's needs, such as using visual supports or providing extra time for processing information.
Our Job coaches also involve helping the individual to develop skills that will enable them to more fully participate in activities.
At the end of the day, they feel living and working gives them the respect and dignity they deserve!
