Gold Medal Requirement: 1,500 Points
There are way too many groups in this short Arwing section and you're expected to destroy as many as you can while being under constant enemy fire.
It's almost impossible to make it to the final battle and not expect your teammates from getting toasted. At Gold Difficulty, at full health, they can only take 3 direct hits from the final boss before croaking...and that's assuming they don't lose less than a sixth before making it there.
The true meat for your score lies in beating the butterfly enemy midway through the level. Defeat that one fast (while getting rid of its two allies) to make extra harmless groups of enemies appear. Be careful when eliminating them, as the flow of enemies doesn't stop while doing it.
The game will suddenly have you meet extremely resilient enemies near the end. These can barely be destroyed, and there's no way you can finish them off in time before your guests take them all to themselves. However, do note that the one of the far right corner houses the final S-Flag.

S-Flags:

1) Very soon, you will come across a large shell-shaped object that spreads enemies in a circle formation. Strike the center before the enemies spawn to reveal the flag. (You can still get the flag even after the enemies appear).

2) Just up ahead of the first one, before you steer up into two hallways full of sphere enemies, there is a squad of turrets and cannons. Strike the left side of the formation to uncover a flag.

3) In the hallway where you fight the butterfly Aparoid, at the end, the way will get blocked by evil hexagons (octagons are more helpful on the roads, after all). Only four holes will remain, but the one to the top right has a hidden flag in its way.

4) You will then enter a passage with spinning blades. Behind the first blade to the lower left, there is one lonely turret. Destroy it to reveal the flag.

5) The final flag lies in the right corner of the last wall of defense. Don't bother attacking any other spinning enemies and focus your attacks on the ones to the right to uncover the final flag.
