We'll highlight how Evergreen’s history of environmentalism, dating back to its founding alongside the modern environmental movement, continues through its current programs and infrastructure.

The college is home to the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Transformational Change and the Center for Climate Action and Sustainability, which work together on sustainable business and equitable climate solutions. Evergreen's campus is a 700-acre living laboratory. Facilities and staff have helped make Evergreen a 100% green energy customer on both the Olympia and Tacoma campuses.

Students are central to these efforts, particularly through the Clean Energy Committee, which has successfully funded projects like a half-off discount for students at the Organic Farm and is working to fund free sustainability items to meet basic needs. The college is now working on a new Climate Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality and zero waste.
