Stair Ascent with Step - Sound Side First (Navii Functional Training - Ossur Logic App)

Описание: Always check with your CPO/therapist which exercises are possible with your prosthesis. As with any exercise, if you feel unwell or experience physical pain or discomfort, you should stop immediately and consult a doctor.

Stair ascent – sound side first
1. Stand in front of the stairs/a step.
2. Hold on to the handrail.
3. Place the sound side foot on to the first step, extending the prosthetic side hip and place load on to the toes.
4. Lift yourself up on to the sound side while quickly kicking your prosthetic knee up and forward.
5. In the app, the left display bar will turn green when enough knee flexion is achieved, and the right display bar will turn green when enough hip flexion is achieved.
6. When complete the indicators in the app will be shaded to show how much of the target was achieved.
7. If there is a second step, place your prosthetic side foot on to it.
8. To practice full step-over-step stair ascent, follow the instructions for stair ascent – prosthetic side first.
9. Repeat the above steps for continued practice.
