This 20" Eizo screen (original photo) was my choice to work & play in the early 2000s. People got rid of those CRTs and they were as cheap as a couple of bucks, because everyone wanted to jump the LCD/TFT train. And guess where my Eizo and all of my other 12 CRTs went – to the junkyard. Hardly anyone had the storage space to keep those things for the next 20 years to come, nor did we know that "retro" would become the next big thing (duh 😬). Today I'll try to make up for it by collecting, repairing and maintaining old hardware in my lab and trying to preserve what's left of those golden days.
