U.S. Army Soldiers from the 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division train alongside NATO allies during the Winter Camp 2026 exercise at Camp Tapa, Estonia.
This multinational exercise focuses on cold-weather operations, mounted maneuver training, and combined NATO interoperability in extreme winter conditions. Working closely with the French Armed Forces, U.S. and allied units rehearse tactical movement, command and control, and joint operations designed to enhance readiness and combat effectiveness.
Winter Camp strengthens NATO’s collective defense posture by ensuring allied forces can operate together in harsh environments. Through realistic training, the U.S. Army and NATO partners improve lethality, readiness, and cooperation in support of regional security across Eastern Europe.
